About Hilliker Electric LLC

Reviewers of Hilliker Electric most often mention speed. Many say the crew answered quickly, showed up on time or early, and finished the work promptly. Several also praise a friendly technician who explained the problem and the plan to fix it.

Booking electrical work with Hilliker Electric

The company says it takes on residential, commercial and industrial jobs. It names panel upgrades, EV charger installation and generator installation among its work. Google classes it as an electric vehicle charging station contractor and a lighting contractor, so lighting upgrades are a fair thing to ask about too.

The company says it works around Franklin Grove and nearby towns, and it names Dixon, Mendota and Amboy. If you live farther out, ask on the first call whether the crew will make the trip.

The shop's hours are Mon to Fri 7 am to 4 pm; Sat to Sun closed. It holds a 5.0 rating from 319 Google reviews.

Settling the job and the price before the electrician arrives

Two reviewers call the pricing reasonable. One says a small job adding two circuits was billed at the hourly rate quoted up front. That tells you the easiest way to avoid surprises is to ask how the work will be billed when you call.

Before you phone, decide what you actually need. A couple of added circuits is a different job from a panel upgrade or a generator install. Describe it plainly, and mention anything that feels urgent. Reviewers say the crew explained the issue and the repair plan clearly, so have your questions ready and ask them while the electrician is on site.

Because the shop closes on weekends, a problem that starts on a Friday afternoon may have to wait until Monday morning. Call early in the week for anything that can be scheduled, and ask for the hourly rate before you agree to a visit.
